The module for registering new tidal window requests.
Process
When (preliminary) information is available about the arrival or departure of a ship, a new tidal window request can be entered into the system by filling out the form. Ship management should be able to provide all the information necessary. If however the load specific data is not (yet) available, estimates can be provided by the system based on other ship details.
Details
- The form can be used for inbound as well as outbound tidal window requests by selecting Direction.
- The estimation method Use estimates only uses the ship details and drafts section to estimate water displacement, GM, GG' and roll period. Filling in load specific data fields will not affect the estimation result at this moment. When some, but not all, load specific data is available the following method is recommended: first submit the form with Use estimates selected and empty load specific data fields. After successfully submitting the form, use the uncalculated requests module to fill in the available data.
